My first experience building sites ‘almost’ on my own
Once upon a time, when I got tired of studying University subjects, I’ve decided to do something for myself.
At first, I’ve decided to write a script to parse Raiffeisen Bank’s website to get notifications in Telegram once the rate is high enough.
I’ve written the script, stored the data to csv, and then understood, I had to run this script quite much more often than I planned to. There was an option to run it in the background on my PC, but I thought, renting a VPS(Virtual Private Server)
was much easier, even though I had to pay a bit for that. Owning your own VPS allows you to make many different things, as I found out, so I decided to extend my script with a graph and put it all together on my own website. The whole project is not completed yet, but it's gonna be somewhere on the website soon
After that, I’ve started searching for the fastest and pretty nice website. That’s how I found Hugo. Had some troubles learning how to use it, but thankfully the internet is full of various infomation, so Hugo wasn’t the exclusion.
Well, you can see the result here, hope you like it. I’m planning to post more news and stuff here, so stay tuned!
